I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Biomedical concentration from The University of Texas at El Paso. I’m passionate about serving my community and using my experiences to build a strong foundation for a career in medicine.
My Story
My journey toward becoming an orthopedic surgeon is driven by my commitment to providing the best care to the people of our border community. My experiences as an EMT-B with a private ambulance company and my enrollment in an accelerated paramedic course have deepened my appreciation for the courage and dedication required to save lives. Recently joining the fire department to pursue Firefighter 1 and 2 certifications has further challenged me to grow and learn. One of the most impactful moments in my journey has been volunteering at La Clinica, where I witnessed the resilience of migrants striving for a better life despite incredible adversity. These experiences have been humbling and inspiring, fueling my drive to one day serve as a physician. Outside of my professional aspirations, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, decompressing with video games, watching anime, and reading books. Every step I take builds on my passion for making a difference when it matters most.
